+FAQs

  • Semi-Permanent Make Up is a form of cosmetic tattooing. Individually blended pigments are introduced into the skin to create colour, shape and definition using a sterile needle. The pigment will remain in the skin for several years.

  • The pigment will remain in the skin for several years. It is recommended that you return every 12-18 months for a top up treatment which will boost the colour as it fades over time.

  • Allow 1½-2 hours per treatment on your first visit. Procedures take a minimum of 2 visits spaced over 4-8 weeks.

  • A free consultation to discuss your expectations and any health issues will be carried out before treatment to ensure you are a suitable candidate.

  • Some clients feel no discomfort at all, others feel minimal discomfort. An anaesthetic cream is used to numb the area and minimise any pain.

  • YES, a patch much be carried out 24-48 hours before treatment. 99.9% of people do not have any reaction at all.

  • Yes you can have injections but must be 6 weeks prior or 6 weeks post treatment.

  • Yes you can but not on micropigmentation areas as this may alter the colour. Advise your laser hair removal specialist if you have had the treatment done.

  • Inform MRI specialist you have micropigmentation as this can cause irritation.

  • On the first treatment it is best to do little rather than too much as this can be added on your second visit. Once the pigment is in the skin, this can be hard to correct. After your first treatment the pigment may fade quickly and so a second treatment is carried out 4-8 weeks after to boost the colour into the skin.

  • You cannot give blood until 6 months post treatment.

  • You will be given an aftercare sheet away with you after treatment.

If showering within 24 hours please try avoiding the water jets hitting the treated area.

Avoid the gym, sauna or swimming pool for 24 hours post treatment.

The area will heal approximately 7 days. You must apply sunblock to the area when going out in the sun to avoid colour fade.

Strong chemicals or glycolic acid/peels of any kind may cause the pigment to lighten in colour. No not pick the area while healing as this can cause pigment loss.

After the treatment has been done, you may notice whiteness or blanching around the treated area. This is normal and will disappear within 12 hours. We recommend using Vaseline on the treated area for the first 3 days as this work as a barrier to stop infection.
